First Grade

Last week I started school, I am a big first grader now.  No longer the kindergartner, I know how this school thing goes.  Of course I had to have a new backpack, and special outfit made by Mommy.

 I liked my first day but I am a little bummed because none of my friends are in my class this year.  It seems like all of them are all in one class and that is not mine.  I will get my groove going but it will take time.  Hopefully I will get to be with them on the playground and maybe when we change classes for reading and math.

It is going to be a great year!!!

Swatch!!

This is Swatch.  We got him in September at an Animal Shelter drive at the park.

 He was 4-5 months old when we got him and now he is close to a year old.  He is getting very big and keeps growing.  Supposedly he is lab/st benard mix.  That makes for a big puppy

 This ball is the only toy he hasn't torn up.  He can destroy anything.  He especially loves my toys and stuffed animals...oh and shoes too!

 We like to play but sometimes he gets too rough.  Then I get mad at him...  but we are best friends!

He is a good dog now, he will be a very good dog when he grows up!

Update! Birthday and Dance Recital!

 I turned 6 in May!  My party was a dog theme and I asked my guests to bring donations to the Animal Shelter instead of gifts for me.  Of course though I had to have a dog themed outfit.

 Ms Karen at church did my cake, it was amazing!!!!  Tasted awesome too.  She made the dog at the top look like Swatch.

 My favorite party place, Ya Ya.  That makes a total of 3 birthdays I have had here.  I had a mix of school friends and old friends at the party.

 And me and the cake.  I think this was before the dramatic event of getting my hair caught in the trains.  It got caught around the wheel.  It hurt really bad but luckily it didn't cut my hair.

It was a great birthday.  And the shelter was so happy to get all the donations.  I also loved petting all the dogs and cats there too.
In June I had my recital.  This year our outfits were yellow and this really odd hair piece.  I am really into posing now.  So here is a little glamour.  I also found my church buddy Morgan, she is a high school dancer at the same studio.  Maybe I will be as good as her one day!

Finally back at school.

After a week off for bad weather, we were finally back at school.  As luck has it I got to be the star student of the week.  We also had a fun week of activities.  Since I was the special girl I wore a especially stylish Cheeta outfit last week.   We also had "wacky Wednesday", so mismatched bows and socks for me.  Mommy has a really hard time with the crazy mismatch days.  We called it "controlled mismatched".  

I also got to go to a birthday party at Patti's.  It is still pretty wet and icky from the snow but Patti's is always good.  My sweet friend Evah turned 5!!

Dr Seuss Celebration

This past week was a rewind.  We had Dr Seuss week at school, we celebrated Seuss.  So because I have done this for 2 years in preschool, I had two previous outfits.  Then add the skirt and outfit Mommy made me this time, I had enough to wear something Dr Seuss for 4 days.  First the skirt w/ Dr Seuss hats

 Next The Lorax outfit, this is one of the ones I wore last year.  Since Mommy didn't account for growth, she was moving buttons that morning before school.  When I was wearing the dress!!

 Then on the day we made Dr Seuss hats, I wore this.  It was my first Dr Seuss dress.  Just add leggings and still fits!

 This is another new one.  The pants are crazy and the top is made of four different fabrics.  This was the day we were supposed to mismatch.

 And then....another snow!!  I can't believe it.  This time we had 2 or 3 inches of sleet followed by 4 or 5 inches of snow.  Therefore it is a snow day for me!  All warm and comfy in my bed.

Swatch was the first one to go out in the snow.  Don't worry I followed.  He wasn't anxious to go out until her got there, running in the snow is always fun!

February...

 Just trying to get through Winter, come on Spring!!!  I had a full week of school, cheer practice, dance, gymnastics.  We also had windy thunderstorms on Thursday night which made is get soaked running to the car after gymnastics.  After we got home I was chilled, and complained with my throat hurting...so you know Friday I was full blown sick.  I got to stay home from school and stay with my Poppy.  Here I am in the Dr office with my leopard (the fastest animal, I informed Mommy of this) and sporting my UK!!   While I was waiting for the dr I proceeded to count to 100, I actually didn't realize they could hear me in the hall.  My diagnosis...strep throat.  Off to the pharmacy for my meds and I am on the mend!!

On Sunday afternoon I was supposed to go to a birthday lunch with one of my friends.  Her Mommy was pregnant and was going to have the baby later that night.  Well she ended up having the baby, Anabelle, early on Sunday.  No birthday lunch for us this week.  But I did get to hold the sweet little baby.  Isn't her outfit the best!!!  

Dance Clinic

Last week I got to go to Patti's!!  Yummy.  The best part was the dessert.  From the first moment I arrived at the table I was asking for cake.  Mommy and I meet her friend Dianne.  I actually got to tell her all about my Disney trip!

We also did a little shopping.  At one store I found some perfume I wanted.  I loved all of them and stood over there forever smelling them all. Here I am holding the one I picked.  The bottle is a naked lady.....it is the knock off of some sort of expensive brand!

This weekend MCHS had a dance clinic.  We went on Saturday morning to learn the dance then that night we performed at the basketball game, at half time.

 We also got these cool shirts.  It was lots of fun being out there on the court dancing.  Maybe I will be a future MCHS dancer!

Superbowl! :(

This week we celebrated 100 days of school.  We made this fun hat and I insisted on wearing it into Walmart.  Hey... people wear crazier things than this hat in Walmart!!

I am rooting for the Broncos to win the Superbowl.  The main reason is because of all the UK players that play for the Broncos.  So today I dressed in my navy and orange with Peyton's number on the front and MY name on the back.  Now the Broncos did horrible in the Superbowl, just maybe if they had a cute shirt they might have done better???

Gingerbread is not just for Christmas, well I think so.  In December Mommy brought me home a gingerbread man from work.  I loved it and begged her to make my own gingerbread men.  Well we did.  We didn't have any gingerbread cookie cutters so we made the February version, flower, dog, cat, apple, heart and butterfly.

 

And we also did a halftime show at the Upward game on Saturday.  I was on top of the pyramid.  We also did a dance too!

Busy girl!!

I have been super busy lately.  School work and extra activities take a lot of my time.  The second nine weeks is over and I got to go to the "Green Gathering", that is a reward for not getting my green moved more than 10 times.  So basically an A in conduct.  I also got to go an AR pancake breakfast for scoring all my AR points for the nine weeks.  In addition to dance and gymnastics I am now doing Upward Cheerleading.  It is most every Saturday and the best part I get to spend time with my bestie, Avery!  

Now because I am shy I don't always cheer very much.  But I do enjoy watching the ball game!

And here is a funny picture, Mommy almost had bubbles going over the side of the tub!!  It was a little crazy but I loved it!!

Brrrr... it is cold!

It is so cold tonight and will be for the next couple of days!!!  Brrr... anyway, Christmas has pasted and I was very busy.  I rode in the Christmas parade.  Here I am with my best buddy Mariah!  We were all bundled up for a cold night!

Then I had my Christmas program at school.  All the kindergarten had to be monkeys.  Mommy made me this monkey costume and I was the only one with a bow!  Of course!!

 Swatch is growing like crazy!  He got a special Christmas present.  Santa brought him a UL cardinal basketball toy!  He was so excited to get it out of his stocking.

 After about 10 minutes, this is what he did to the cardinal.  Pure destruction!  Good thing he is a wildcat fan.   He is now 7 months old and weighs 66 pounds.  Just our little puppy!

 Since school has been out I have been going to daycare a few days.  The other day Josh Forrester, plays for UK football came to visit. He used to go to the same daycare when he was younger.  And because I had on my UK jeans, I got to get my pic with him!
