Going Fishin!!

We are busy, busy this summer. Every night of the week I have something going on. First is gymnastics, then I have dance one night, then church one night- that only leaves 2 nights a week to do anything else. So when Friday rolled around and Poppy asked us to go Fishing- I was more than ready. First I had to locate my sunglasses and fishing hat.

Then I had to pose a little around the post. I definitely move at my own 3 year old pace.

Plus Mommy got out the camera to get a picture of her newest creation. Amazing what she can accomplish if I actually decide to take a nap on a Saturday.

I am so excited to go fishing!

Finally I have my coverup, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. I am ready to head to the lake.

After I stop and smell some flowers.

The other fun thing about the lake is the snacks. Mimi packed goldfish, grapes and animal crackers. Yummy!! This time Poppy caught one fish but "put 3 things in my face". Later Mommy told me they were called lures. I also discovered I love to "go fast"!

And just for reference purposes- I am going to the potty pretty good only I still refuse to poop on the potty. I have had 3 days at school with no accidents and went two times unprompted over the weekend. Maybe I will make it to preschool in August after all!!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day and my Daddy's birthday- only problem is he had to work. So we will be celebrating with him tomorrow. Today after church Poppy came up to eat lunch and Mommy cooked it...all by herself! Cooking is not her thing! If you know my Mommy you will know that sewing IS her thing. She is slightly obsessed with it. For example she made the below outfit for me just to match a particular pair of shoes....I will say they are cute- black with hot pink flowers. I think she would make me a new outfit every weekend and probably has enough ideas and fabric to make a new one everyday.

Just because I like dinosaurs she made me this dress for school. Not a great picture of me but hey it was early!
My Mimi sews and Mommy has always wanted to sew too. Friday night we went stopped at Mimi's before going home and ate dinner (remember Mommy's thing is NOT cooking). Well we got to playing and found this sleeper Mommy made her Cabbage Patch doll. It is hand sewn with big stitches and then the name embriodered by hand. I guess that was before the fancy sewing machines.

But I will say sewing does run in the family. My aunt Darlene sent me and Mommy birthday presents. I got a backpack and Mommy got switchflops.

The backpack is so cute, complete with polka dots, a gymnastics girl and my name on it. I have it all packed for gymnastics tomorrow. Oh got to go I think Mommy needs me to try on another dress she is creating!

3 Year pictures!

I had my 3 year pictures done last month. Here is my serious face.My little grin!My giggling face.And of course who could forget the action shots. Cottontail sure does get a lot of exercise.

I always have a great time getting my picture made and Jeff has to do a lot of work!!

Lots of Swimming and Swinging

We had a fish fry at church on Wednesday night so I wore my fish shirt. I also went to the doctor this week: I weigh 28 pounds and am 36 3/4 inches tall. Everything looked good- and I didn't even cry when they stuck my finger! Look at Daddy's flowers. This is our second attempt in this pot. Apparently the first ones didn't need that much sunshine- but these will take lots of sun. The only problem is I would really like to pick them!

Papa Charlie and Deb came to visit this weekend. We got to swim at the hotel pool- Mommy has pictures but her camera was dead so maybe next week. After we went to the pool I came back for a nap. After nap time I decided to put my babies on their blankets. Mommy took a picture because it reminded her of when she was a little girl and she used to do the same thing.

After dinner we went to feed the ducks. This week my big thing to say is "is that a deal?"

There was a Mommy duck and baby ducks all wanting some bread.


Then we went to "the big slide". I must have ran around that thing 50 times!! We stayed until it was dark.

Sunday morning Mommy and I went to church. Papa Charlie, Deb and Daddy played golf. I kind of match the flowers in the background. Oh and Mommy was trying to get a picture of my dress. You can see I am doing my awesome smile.

Summer Fun!!

This weekend because it was so hot- Mommy, Mimi and I decided to have a girl's day. We started at Panera....not my fav but Mommy loves it. I think I liked the hot chocolate and the M&M cookie the best. Then we headed to Hancock's and then the mall. Let's just say I left the mall in tears over a small UK basketball- which I didn't even want- because I wanted a big one. After we got back to Mimi's house we stayed a while. Mimi got out a water slide.

She always has toys stored up for me.

I didn't get the concept of sliding down, I would run then fall on my bottom at the end.

That water is kind of cold! I played out there until I was too cold.

Sunday we tried a new picture location- out back. This is tricky because I always want to get in my house and play.

We were able to get a couple of quick pictures- even one with my pretty fake smile!
