Christmas 2009

Yeah Christmas!! I have been waiting a long time for this. I got an early present this week. Aunt Kim sent me and mommy a box with lots of fun packing peanuts. Hey I thought you said these were peanuts??I dug and dug and still couldn't find anything..So Mommy dumped them out and I got to play some more. I did make a big mess though. Then on Christmas Eve we went to Granny's house. As I was eating my lunch I spied my favorite treat from Thanksgiving. Cookies!! Because it was Christmas I ate a cookie for lunch. I actually like to pick out the chocolate chips....hey I am like my Mommy. Before present opening I did a little swinging with Rick. And Mya and I discussed our outfits. Our Mommy's made them, didn't they do such a good job. We are a creative family if nothing else. We spent lots of time in the bathroom, the big girls are learning to potty and I was very interested- I even had to try it myself a couple of times. I thought I would get a little snack before all the opening began, I need my energy.
I did manage to pull out this paper, but other than that I was not real interested in opening- too busy with my snack.
The McCarty's got me this plate, cup, bowl and utensils- how fun polka dots!!
The also got me this puzzle, which I was real interested in as well.

What do you mean I have to open some more??

Here are all the cousins in a silly picture, you can see I not all on board with the hanging thing- too worried about what everyone else is doing.

Whew....this Christmas stuff is work.

Christmas morning, Santa left me some presents at my Granny's house. Mommy told me the elves stayed up really late Christmas Eve working on this doll, it still didn't make me more interested in it though..

I was more interested in Daddy's present- a big stick, what could be more fun.

Or maybe the reindeer behind on the shelves behind the Christmas tree.

When we got home, Santa had been there too. I got this shopping cart, that was the first thing I wanted to play with. Mommy has taught me well, only there were no clothes in it ?!?!

Then onto my baby carrier, Ms Patty got me this baby and it fits real well in the carrier, I had to cover her up.
I also got these big blocks, they are fun too.

Here is my present to Daddy, my footprints on a UK plate.

Our family at Christmas.

I just thought I was done.

Then Mimi and Poppy brought in the gift they got me...a kitchen. Wow do I love it!!

It makes boiling sounds and blender sounds.

It is very good for busy hands.

Sunday we were in a hurry so just a quick pic. Sunday afternoon I stayed with Mimi, so Mommy and Daddy could go here...

The Music City Bowl, one word to describe it....COLD!!!!

Here I am digging in the packing peanuts.

Finally the Christmas Dress

Mimi finally got my romper done and Mommy finally got it monogrammed and the bow sewed on. I have been waiting a long time for this and I sure wanted to get to wear it in time for Christmas. The plan- to change out the ribbon to hot pink or turquoise after the holidays...smart huh!Ok so this is the pillow case dress gone wrong. You see my Mommy is always saying "I could just make a quick pillowcase dress"- she had never made one until she tried last weekend. She got all finished- stayed up real late and I tried it on and her words "that looks awful". She couldn't let this "simple" dress beat her, so she riped out all the seams and cut out this jumper (which she has made a ton of). And that is why I will never have a pillowcase dress, that is unless she buys me one.Friday was our school party so I wanted to wear something a little fancy. Of course my bow matches Rudolph's - would you doubt it.And here it is - the 2009 official Christmas dress that I have had since September. No kidding! If you remember the story from last year you will understand why.

Oh there are presents under the tree, wonder how they got there.
I wonder how many are for me??

Sunday afternoon Mommy tried out a new hairstyle- I am not sure I like it!
You might be wondering what in the world I am doing while Mommy is typing on Sunday nights, well this particular Sunday night it is 11:00 pm and I am still awake walking around with 3 necklaces on my neck, what is Daddy doing? Sleeping of course...it is going to be a good Monday morning.

A Whole Lot of Painting Going On

We have been in major Chirstmas attire mode this week. In case you can't tell my shirt says "Santa Rocks", doesn't hurt to do a little sucking up.
Just because I have in a red and white polka dot bow there is no reason I shouldn't wear this yellow barrette too. I am still having a real good time playing with certain ornaments- I have now discovered these gold reindeer- I can reach two and I like to take them off and make them fly (across the room).Friday Mommy took me to a "Santa and Me" party at Clay Chameleon- I got to do my handprint with Santa's. Here I am doing my part with Santa's helper.

This place was real interesting- lots of paint, bottles and breakable stuff.

The best part of the night was the cookies. Sorry Santa I will NOT be sharing these. Chocolate Chip of course.
More please!
And just because "Santa Rocks" doesn't mean I want to sit in his lap. Or get that close to him for that matter.

I will let you look at me, but that is it!On Saturday, Mommy wanted to take me back to the painting place to paint an ornament.

Here I am with Daddy painting.A couple of strokes and I was done, but they had more cookies. I believe I will have another thank you very much.

Before church on Sunday I was enjoying twirling and running around on the porch.

Especially hiding behind the porch rockers.
Do you think this bow makes me look like a present??

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

This week Mommy put up the Christmas tree and I helped...I especially loved shaking these colorful disks.Saturday Mommy and I went to do some Christmas shopping, I hope we see Santa and he likes my shirt.I did so good, I might just be getting the hang of this shopping thing, as long as there is a plentiful supply of juice and Teddy Grams.I am allowed to play with a couple of ornaments on the tree, this is one a wooden bear that dances when you pull the string. If I can't figure it out I can just throw it across the floor and the loud noise it makes is amusing enough..Saturday night was the Christmas party at church. Mommy said Santa would be there- wonder if I can see him.Oh I think I hear him.Is that Rudolph? My other favorite ornament is this gold reindeer, I like to make it fly.Mimi made my outfit and Mommy did the bow. You just can't have a present with a bigger bow than me.Santa did show up at church but I was too interested in the stairs to care about him. And I am NOT going to sit on his lap.And I mean it!!
But he did bring me a present. It was a Mommy and three little ducks that light up.

I loved them but I did not want to take them out of the plastic or let anyone else touch them.

I did want to show them off though.

Hey look what I got. When we got home Mommy put them in my bath, I didn't like it at first and I wanted to hold them all.
I don't think anyone is looking...I think I can reach this pretty one up here.

Sunday morning getting ready to leave for church, but we had to let Sydney out. Better hurry we are running late. Christmas outfit #2.
