Fishing Again...

Friday afternoon Mommy and I headed to the lake again to fish with Poppy. Hopefully this will become a habit. We had to wait a little bit for Mimi to pick us up so I did some flower inspecting. Wow these bushes are really big! I really do wish Mimi would hurry up! I have all my important things, sunglasses, bathing suit cover up, bow and of course paci.

I didn't take too long and Poppy caught another fish, Mommy was ready this time with the camera. I like to try and touch the fish's tongue.

I wonder just how far my hand will go??

And what do you snack on while you are waiting for Poppy to catch another fish??..Whales of course.

I wasn't really sure about this fish, this looks like Mommy's reaction. I guess because she had already screamed when Poppy let this one flop around in the boat first. Yes...she really did scream.

I like to feel the fishes "tail" too.


Saturday afternoon, Mommy got out one of my birthday presents, a swimming pool. I loved splashing in it- I didn't even care it was cold.

I took all my "dinosaurs" out there and threw them in.

Then I would stand up and just fall back into the water, making big splashes. I hope this becomes a habit too.

Since it is Memorial Weekend I wore a patriotic theme to church. You just have to love a girl in a sailor dress.

I want to go Fishin!!

This is my big Minnie. I like to play with her in my playhouse, when Mommy isn't in there and this day I slept with her too.I'm two, so I wore my Two-rrific shirt. Dana at Mommy's office made it for me, wasn't that sweet.
I also went for my two year appt this week. I didn't have any shots but I did have a finger stick.

I didn't even cry and I got a really cute Snoopy bandaid.

I am a healthy 24.4 pds and 34 inches tall. I am in the 58th percentile for height and 24th for weight, which is just fine according to my doctor. I did have an ear infection, but can be easily treated. Dr Chaney told us he was retiring...we are very happy for him but sad for us. I will have to change doctors...hum to pick. He did however tell Mommy and Daddy that I was doing just fine socially and physically.I have been playing with my Bitty Baby since my birthday. I really like to change her diaper.
On Saturday we got an invitation to go fishing with Poppy. Time to break out the new swimsuit.And sunhat!I was having a fun time trying it on.Of course you can't go to the lake without a proper coverup and shades! KY lake here I come!Every Lake Diva likes to honk the horn on Poppy's boat.

This was Goofy's first boat ride, I went once last summer.

There is a seat especially for me.

Now when we get ready to go fast I have to wear my life jacket. And my bow didn't even blow out. We did catch fish and Poppy let me touch them. I put my finger down in their mouths and rubbed all over them. Mommy didn't get a picture of that b/c she was too afraid they would flip and touch her. I think I will be the fisherman of our family. I loved it so much, when we were leaving I said "I like that" and "I want to go fishin tomorrow".
So for church on Sunday I wore a big fish on my dress. Well, a whale but still in the spirit. Mommy made this dress a long time ago, do you remember seeing it? And I also wore my shoes with "toes stickin out".

Happy Birthday to me!! I'm Two Today!

This was my birthday week and I will be turning two, can you believe it!! It seems like just yesterday I was 2 days old, well maybe I don't remember that..but that is what Mommy says. I had my party at Daycare on Friday- I dressed in a cupcake dress for the occasion. My Grandpa Charlie and Deb came to visit this weekend too, I had to show them my favorite spot- Mr Gatti's- I really do love those tickets maybe more than the pizza.

On Saturday night we went to Tribeca, this is the first time I have had chips and salsa, that stuff is really good!And lemons of course, the waitress brought me my own cup of them..yummy!!Then Sunday rolled around and that was my actual Birthday, we started the day at church, but had to make a quick exit so we could finish preparations for my Fish Fry birthday party. I wore my Birthday outfit to church and even asked to wear my necklace!I had my party hair and a crown for the day...hey I am the princess birthday girl!

While Mommy was running around making final preparations she noticed me chewing something- which I promptly spit out in her hand, it was the heart on my necklace all chewed up. There was no chain attached and when she asked me where it was I said "I ate it". So that prompted a call to the Baptist Healthline where the sweet nurse told Mommy to feed me bread...they decided a cupcake would work and then take me to the ER after the party for X-rays to make sure the chain wasn't wrapped around anything important. Here is my first cupcake of the day.

It sure was good, but before I finished Granny (did I mention the oldest one at the party) found my chain!! It was laying in the floor beside my chair, guess I should have hidden it better. No problem my plan worked...I got a cupcake before anyone arrived. I had to beat Mya to the cupcakes somehow!

There was a sigh of relief that I hadn't actually swallowed the chain and that we didn't need to make a trip to the ER, although we would have been bringing cupcakes to the nurses, maybe that would have gotten us in quicker!

On Friday afternoon Mommy finally decided on the decorations, we went with a fish theme and she stayed up late making these tablecloths, but what is new with that right...

Keeping with family tradition, Mimi stayed up late making my surprise birthday quilt. Now Mommy had planned on making this for my first birthday but never got around to it so she had a whole year and was still staying up late the night before. I think there is no hope for me, I am destined to be a procrastinator.

Mommy made these fish cupcakes too, can you tell they are fish??



I had a few big presents this one from Granny, Darlene and Rayna was on the porch, I think I will just take a peek.

Because it was raining the fish frying was on the porch, it rained last year on my birthday too.

Hum...what is a princess to do on her birthday??

Rayna, Mya and Myles arrived next. Mya gave me an early present...chapstick. We were just chillin waiting for the party to start.Oh how I love me some chapstick!

Now it was time for my official cupcake...really my second one of the day. Everyone sang Happy Birthday, which I loved so I had them do it "again".

Then it was time for present opening. I was kind of interested at first.

I liked the lawnmower that blew bubbles.

But after I opened my tricycle, I wasn't interested in anything else. So Mommy had to finish opening for me.

Finally we went outside to open the remainder of my presents. Grandpa Charlie got me this swiming pool. Reese, Mya and I all got in.

We even laid down.

Since I was preoccupied with the pool, Riley opened my big slide! Now that was fun! Only everyime I slide down and got to the bottom, I cried, kicked and yelled "No". I didn't want anyone clapping for me.

The other fun thing about the slide was the box. Riley and Mya took turns rolling in it, I just watched I didn't want to mess up my crown.

We even got out my small slide too. It is a little small, you can see Mya is having trouble.

My favorite way to slide is head first.

The other big gift was a playhouse from Mimi and Poppy. It has windows that open.

I like playing in it and convinced Poppy to get in with me.

Then Mommy had a turn. I had a great day on my second birthday, if they are all like this I want them more often. All my cousins came to be with me which made it extra special! I had such a fun day I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
