Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! It has been a busy week with all the festivities.Of course I have been dressed in Halloween attire all week. And then there was the fall festival at church. I went as a giraffe. Yes, this giraffe has a bow.

I didn't like keeping my hood on so- most of the time it was down. We painted pumpkins, well really just drew on them with markers.
And ate candy! That was my favorite part. I am in love with suckers!

There were games outside too.

Like Cornhole! I got so good at this one I think I am ready for some tailgating! UK game here I come!

There was also musical chairs and a ring toss. It was lots of fun!

Friday at school was dress up party. I wore my ladybug costume to this one. You can see Ms Lora and Ms Linda are dressed up too!

Friday afternoon I got to play a little peek a boo. Now it will look like Mommy was so decisive on costumes this year. Not the case. She made me a hot pink flamingo costume but I screamed, kicked and cried the first time I tried it on so.....that one didn't make past the closet door.

She had bought the giraffe as back up but then found out we were dressing up at school. She found a cute leopard costume at Cracker Barrel and bought it. Got it home and it was too small.

So back to Cracker Barrel to exchange it but they no longer had the leopard (probably b/c they were 40% off) so she got a lady bug. And I ended up with a large tootsie roll and large sweettart too.

Still with time to kill before Gymnastics we ran into TJ Maxx, a favorite. There she spied another lady bug but this one was cuter. So she got that one too. After Gymnastics Mimi returned the Cracker Barrel lady bug and I ended up with another large tootsie roll and large sweettart.

So this is me in the TJ Maxx ladybug costume, which by the way, I do love wearing! Of course I do, I was born in a tutu!

Mommy vowed to do much better next year, making or buying a simple costume...do you think she has it in her?

Because all the towns around here can't decide when to do Halloween, we opted to do it on Saturday. We went to a big church in town for a fall festival.
They had lots of candy and about five of these!

I do love a good inflatable!

And there were lots of suckers and tootsie rolls too.

Games like bowling!

I think on last count I had a least 5 suckers!

We all had lots of fun!

Off to the car to get ready for next year! Wonder what I will be next year.....

Big girl panties and new people!

This week Halloween attire is in full swing. Somehow I ended up with lots of things to wear, a combination of some last year's items...the following dress. Some items Mommy made way back in July..
Some items Mommy bought last year. Oh except the cape- hey I have to take full advantage of wearing it while I can. It has been really warm this year.

The days are getting shorter, it is dark when we leave and dark when we get home. I really do enjoy my pumpkin seat! I also like to pick all the flower buds off and sprinkle them on the porch..Mommy isn't too fond of that one.

I even got to sprinkle in some knee socks this week.

I am now wearing pull ups- or "big girl panties" as I call them. We have the pack with princesses on them. I only want to wear the ones with all three princesses, the ones with just Belle won't do.

Mommy tries to sneak the other ones on but no luck...I figure it out and insist on the others.

I heard Mommy saying she might send the Belle ones to daycare and let them deal with it...bless those workers!

I also have some new people. Big Goofy- that was supposed to be saved for Christmas but I found the hiding spot, and pig. Pig is a scentsy animal and supposed to have a sachet in his back. His job was going to be to sit on my dresser to make the room smell good...not my plan. I like to take him places. So the sachet sits on my dresser without an animal to hold it. Of course we still have Cottontail too.

After church we went to Cracker Barrel, yummy! I like biscuits, green beans and mashed potatos but really the biscuits- and the peg game at the table. While we were waiting Poppy was singing me the Marine Corp hymn- it makes me smile everytime.

After we eat I always have to play a little checkers on the porch!

Dressed for the Occasion

This week the fire truck visited daycare. Well if you know my Mommy you know that means an "outfit". Off to Hobby Lobby we went to find the perfect fabric- not that she doesn't have a ton already at home! This is the design she came up with- I saw here using Sydney to draw the pattern for the dog. Sprinkles even has a bow like me! It was a hit with everyone including the firemen.
I got to get up on the truck and everything! This is the back- Sprinkles went all the way around. In case you were wondering....yes I still like my paci. I got all day at school without it but insist on it in the mornings and at night. We are working on it but at this rate I might be going to Kindergarten with it.

Saturday night we went to a wedding!! The best part about weddings...the cake of course and it was chocolate! My menu for the evening consisted of- Hershey minitures on the table, chocolate graham crackers and chocolate cake!

So when the lights went down and the music started- I was ready to dance the night away! I had a great time jumping and dancing!

No church picture today...running late before church and feel asleep and stayed with Mimi and Poppy after church...it was a festive outfit with a pumpkin- I am sure Mommy will make me pose for a picture in it again!!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Even though I have a ton of Halloween stuff to wear, Fridays are my UK days. I got this new blue skirt- which in turn called for a new shirt. Oh I am stomping Cottontail here, just trying to show what UK is going to do this weekend....ha ha! Good thing Mommy has lots of blank t-shirts and fabric laying around!
Saturday we went to Wurth Farms to the pumpkin patch. Now, such is typical KY weather, instead of it feeling like fall.It felt like summer- temps were in the upper 80's...like 87...So because all my Halloween stuff is long sleeve and for cold weather...remember the cape! That I actually wore just last weekend. Mommy had to scurry and make me a short sleeve shirt...again referring the lost of blanks shirts and material laying around. We visited the petting zoo and I actually got to feed the animals this year.Only a couple of times though because Mommy had me over with the wipes and antibacterial soap pretty fast! The other big attraction was the slide.I do love the those blow up slides!
They are great for jumping! After they pryed me away from the jumping it was off to the hayride. Here is our family photo before we took off! Yes Mommy and Daddy are crazy in jeans but hey it is fall and it is a hayride.
Since we have had zero rain it was a really dusty ride. All of our shoes were brown...supposed to be black! Notice my fancy! I got a silver one too!

Once we were in the patch I was determined to find the "da biggest punkin".

Hum....

Yes I think this one is it!
Now how do we carry it??? I think we need a cart.

I LOVE my pumpkin!

I wanted to sit as close as I could.
But I insisted on Mommy getting one too.

Daddy was worried how we would get these gigantic pumpkins from the patch to the car.

I still was not completely convinced I had the biggest! I kept saying "I want to find a big one" You know women we are never satisfied!

After we got back to the farm we had to get a cart to pull the pumpkins.

It is hard work pulling those things!

Awww...look at the little ones!
Daddy cleaned our pumpkins when we got home and set them out on the porch. The mums and pumpkins are a perfect backdrop for Sunday pictures! Notice our mums are yellow! Remember we bought them not knowing the colors. Also notice the knee socks, don't you just love it!!
